COVID-19 Updates

Taking a Pause: A Note to our guests and visitors

Guest accommodation and campus space rentals at UBCO have been suspended until further notice, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Making the decision to halt operations is not one that any business takes lightly. But the safety and well-being of our guests, staff and community remains our top priority, and we are committed to playing our part in curbing this global pandemic. Public health guidelines have called for a halt on all non-essential travel, and UBC – along with the City of Kelowna and Province of B.C. – are doing all we can to slow the spread of COVID-19.  Read more about UBC’s response to COVID-19 here.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue planning your next season’s trip to Kelowna and UBCO. Stay a while, explore our website, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We are still here for you, and look forward to opening up again next season.

We’re committed to doing our part in halting the spread of COVID-19, and protecting our guests, staff and community. Q: When will I be able to travel again?

UBC is closely monitoring updates from our Provincial Health Authority with regards to plans to gradually loosen restrictions on businesses and travel. Currently, non-essential travel is discouraged, businesses are encouraged to operate online, and community members are being asked to stay home. For now, we plan to keep our campus residences closed to non-essential visitors until further notice.
